LOCK OR LOSE IT TIP

Today’s tip on our Lock It or Lose It Awareness campaign is to:
“Lock boats, engines and trailers with proper locks.”

BREAK & ENTERS

On the 20th of March at approximately 1:40 AM would be thieves threw a large brick through a door window and then gained entry to John Wayne’s Auto on Cassells St. It did not appear that anything was taken at the time of report.

Also on the 20th of March during daylight hours thieves entered a home in the 100 block of 5th Av. W. via the front door. The home was ransacked and the thieves stole a small amount of cash and an empty 18L Clear Springs water bottle.

Overnight on the 22nd of March thieves made their way into a home in the 500 block of O’Brien St. Once inside they stole cigarettes and some old cheques.

STRANGE COINCIDENCE

Between the hours of 1:45 PM and 9:40 PM on the 23rd of March, someone had attempted to force the front door to a home in the 100 block of Sixth Av. no entry was gained.
However a strange coincidence occurred on the Monday or Tuesday previous to this date. A man had attended this same home and asked if a trailer in the front yard was for sale. This same male then was allowed to enter and use the washroom.
He then left. He is described as male white, in his 20s, husky, had a round face with a Fu Manchu Moustache. He was wearing a black jacket with red trim.
