FIGHTS WITH POLICE On the 26th of June shortly after 4 A. M. Csts. Aaron Northrup and Dave Wilson of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend at a local hotel in regards to an unwanted person.

On the 26th of June shortly after 4 A. M. Csts. Aaron Northrup and Dave Wilson of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend at a local hotel in regards to an unwanted person.

The officers arrived and arrested a female who was unwilling to leave. Once in the vehicle it is further alleged that the female in question self inflicted an injury to herself and was brought to the hospital. While there she struck one of the officers causing the skin to break.

Kari MORIN 40 years old of Bloem St. is charged with Assault Police and Being in Possession of a Controlled Substance. She remains in custody for a bail hearing.

BREAK & ENTER

On the 25th of June at approximately 4 AM, would be thieves broke padlocks and a steel door to Moose’s Bar & Grill on Main St. It is unknown what if anything is missing at the time of report.

BEAR ALERT

The North Bay Police Service would like to caution the general public in regards to a reported bear sighting last night at 7 PM.

Our Service received a report late this morning regarding a woman getting off a city bus on Commerce Crt. last night at approximately 7 PM.

The bear began walking towards her and then picked up the pace. She became concerned for her safety and flagged a passing motorist who assisted her in leaving the area.

Our Service would like to caution the public in regards to any bear sighting. We would recommend that the individual firstly be concerned for their own safety and take whatever means available to ensure that safety.

Secondly we would request that in dangerous situations such as the above, the matter then be reported to the Police agency within their jurisdiction so that this Police Service can ensure the safety of the public.
