Weekly Domestics
During the week 12th to 19th June the North Bay Police responded to 27 domestic related occurrences that resulted 10 males and 2 females being charged. The males were charged with a total of 13 offences that included 6 assaults, 2 breach of undertaking, 2 mischief, 2 breach of recognizance and 1 threatening. Five men were released on conditions, 2 were held for bail and arrest warrants were issued for two. The females were charged with 4 counts of breach of undertaking and 1 obstruct police. Both women were held for bail hearings.

Attempt Robbery
On June 18 at 9:00 pm a woman exited Shoppers Drug Mart on Lakeshore Dr when a male on a bicycle approached her and demanded her purse. He brandished a large knife that had been in his waistband. The victim ran back into the store and the man fled. He was last seen riding north on Lakeshore Dr. He is described as; male, white, 20-30yrs, 5’6” to 6’ tall, thin build, dark hair, and a thin moustache including a soul patch under his lip. He was wearing a dark hoody and blue jeans. Cst Blake Vietmeier is investigating.

Robbery
During the day on the 18th of June three young men were together in the Wickstead Ave area. Throughout the day one of the men kept trying to fight one of the other men. The situation escalated to taking the other man’s blackberry, attempting to assault him, and then not letting him leave until the victim negotiated his release by offering his Xbox with 30 games. Once released the victim contacted police. Mark Wilson 18yrs of St Laurent Ct was arrested at 8:50 pm and charged with robbery, extortion, and assault. He is to appear in court on 07 Aug. Csts Steve Brown and Roger Drolet are investigating.
