Accidental Shooting

At 11:53 p.m. June 3rd officers attended a Bunting Ave residence where they located a 17 year old male that had been shot in the foot. Investigation revealed that a 17 year old male had accidently shot himself with a .410 shotgun. It was determined that the gun had been reported stolen in a break and enter and had been in the possession of Kholton Prior 18yrs of Powassan. He has been charged with careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property. He is to appear in court on the 16th July 2013. The investigation is continuing.

Assault with a Weapon

At 5:45 p.m. on 3rd June a patient at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, when told his conduct was not appropriate, picked up a chair, threatened the staff with it, then threw it at a door smashing the glass. Errol Kay 30 yrs of North Bay was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and mischief. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
