Graffiti Artist Arrested During downtown patrols on the evening of August 1st, Cst Steve Trahan and Cst Bill Gainforth observed a male subject writing on the walls of an alleyway.
Graffiti Artist Arrested

During downtown patrols on the evening of August 1st, Cst Steve Trahan and Cst Bill Gainforth observed a male subject writing on the walls of an alleyway. The subject was arrested, and as a result of the investigation more graffiti damage on Oak Street was located. Charged with two counts of mischief is 23 year old Jeffery Dean of Chelmsford ON.

Various incidents of Mischief over weekend

Overnight from July 31st to August 1st , a rock was thrown through a front picture window of a West Ferris residence. Also a large boulder was placed on the hood of a vehicle that was parked in a driveway on Labreche Dr., causing damage to the hood of the vehicle. Eggs were thrown at a vehicle in another driveway in the Labreche Drive area.

Firecrackers in Mailboxes

Two mailboxes were destroyed by fire crackers during the early morning hours of August 3rd in the Ski Club Road Area of the City. The firecrackers were lit and stuffed inside by unknown culprits and caused extensive damage to the mailboxes.

Chief Commanda Entered

Sometime overnight August 2nd, Thieves entered the Chief Commanda II by using a fire extinguisher to break a window. Once inside a small quantity of alcohol was removed. The culprits attempted to enter other areas of the boat, but were unsuccessful.

Drugs Seized, Man Charged with Threats and Assault

On July 31st, North Bay Police Officers responded to a residence on Massey Drive in relation to a disturbance. Upon arrival a complaint of threats and assault was made by the victim, and information was provided about illegal drugs that had been dropped off at another residence. As a result of the investigation approximately 500 grams of Marijuana and 3 grams of Crack Cocaine were seized, with a total street value of over $10 000. Charged is 27 year old Justin Sarazin of Massey Drive, who faces charges of Threats, Possession for the purpose of Trafficking, Unlawfully in a dwelling and 2 counts of assault. He is currently in custody pending a bail hearing.

4 Impaired Drivers Nabbed Over Weekend

Four Impaired drivers were arrested by North Bay Police Officers over the long weekend. One incident involved a fail to remain Motor Vehicle Collision, in which a 23 year old male was charged with Impaired Driving, Fail to Remain at the Scene of a Collision, and Breach of Undertaking. The subject’s Blood Alcohol readings were 2 and a half times the legal limit.
