POLICE FIND CONCEALED KNIFE On April 27 at 2 AM Acting Sgt. Shawn Devine and Cst. Helen Kent of the North Bay Police Service found a male in the Ferris area of the city carrying a concealed weapon.

On April 27 at 2 AM Acting Sgt. Shawn Devine and Cst. Helen Kent of the North Bay Police Service found a male in the Ferris area of the city carrying a concealed weapon.

The man had been searched subsequent to an unrelated arrest. He had a 6” combat knife inside his jacket pocket.

Robert RUSSELL, 20, of no fixed address, is charged with carrying a concealed weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
On April 26 Det. Cst. Murphy and Warren of the Investigation Section in the North Bay Police Service arrested a male in relation to complaints of criminal harassment.

These complaints had been made in relation to a woman and occurred during the period of Sept 2003 to April 2004.

They consisted of repeatedly driving by the victim and her house, and harassing her at work.

Jason RANGER, 30, of Lakeshore Drive, is charged with criminal harassment and breach of probation.
He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER
Since the ice melted on Trout Lake to April 26, thieves used a canoe to make their way to an island cottage near the Cove and then ransacked this dwelling. They broke windows, figurines and paintings, poured paint and generally wrecked the home. They had entered through a skylight.

It is estimated that the damage is between $10,000 and $15,000.
