Spring Cleanup
The NBPS Environment Committee’s annual Spring Litter Cleanup in honour of Earth Day was a success! This was our sixth cleanup and had the largest turnout of civilian volunteers yet – at least 30. We wish to acknowledge the following:

- The North Bay Regional Heath Centre Mental Health Services for attending with 3 staff members and 14 patients to volunteer;
- Miller Waste Systems for donating and collecting two large waste bins for the sixth time;
- Fern Piche & Sons Limited for processing the 469 lbs of scrap metal that was collected by the paved Nipissing University pathway. The income from this will go back into the Environment Committee;
-2 for1 Pizza for donating pizza and pop for volunteers;

The next cleanup is planned for October.
