Traffic hazard was a stolen car

A person was arrested after a vehicle that was stolen in Quebec was abandoned on Highway 17 in Calvin Township near Mattawa.

On January 31 at 11:12 p.m., North Bay OPP responded to a complaint of a traffic hazard. 

OPP investigated and the driver Stephane Guay, 53, from Québec, was arrested for outstanding charges in that province.

 Arrangements were made to turn the Guay over to the Sûreté du Québec.

The vehicle was towed to the North Bay Detachment of the OPP for further examination.

Assisting at the scene was the OPP Canine Unit, the Emergency Response Team, and Nipissing District Emergency Medical Services.
