At 4:20pm on the 12th of September, a man took delivery of a suspicious BPX package at the bus station on Station Rd. He was arrested, and a subsequent search found a quantity of what is believed to be marijuana in the package and a vial of numerous different pills on his person along with a large wad of cash.

The variety of pills include what is believed to be percocets, oxyneo, hydro-morphine, morphine, and methamphetamine. Tom Boyer 44yrs of McIntyre St E has been charged with 6 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO REMAIN
The North Bay Police are looking for witnesses to a fail to remain collision that occurred at 6:25 pm on the 12th of September on Memorial Dr near the Carousel. A blue van was following a gold Chrysler westbound on Memorial, then passed the Chrysler sideswiping it in the process. The van did not stop and left at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the van was a female with short hair believed to be in her 50’s or 60’s. There will be damage to the van on the right rear quarter. Anyone who has any information about this incident is asked to contact Cst Aaron Northrup at 705-497-5555.

DOMESTIC STATS
Over the week of September 4th to the 11th the North Bay Police responded to 38 domestic related occurrences that resulted in 10 men and 1 woman being charged with a total of 16 offences.

Charges against the males include 5 counts of assault, 2 counts of mischief, 3 counts of threatening, 4 counts of breach of probation and 1 count of criminal harassment.

Four of the men were released on conditions with a court date, and 6 men were held for bail hearings. The woman was charged with one count of breach of a recognizance and held for a bail hearing.
