Warrant Executed
On 11 Sept a Barrie resident, Jean-Rene Lefebvre 29 years was arrested by Barrie police Service on a 2011 North Bay warrant for assault and assault with a weapon. In Aug of 2011 it was alleged that a woman was shoved and burned with a cigarette at a downtown bar. The Barrie Police transported the accused to North Bay where he has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Robbery
On 11 Sept between 11 and 11:30 p.m. a 19 yr old male was walking east at the east end of Oak St just before the tunnel under the railroad tracks when he was accosted by two men. He was told to empty his pockets and when he tried to run he was pushed to the ground and received a cut to his hand while trying to defend himself. The males left with his Sony Smartphone, coin, and keys.

Suspect#1 is described as; male, 5’8”, 230lbs, wearing a red bandana over his face, a black hoodie, dark pants and was carrying a foot long dark object similar to a bar.

Suspect#2 is described as; 5’11”, 200lbs, wearing a clown mask, a dark hoodie, dark pants, carrying a knife. Cst Doug MacIntosh is investigating.

Break and Enter Arrests
At 11:34 a.m. on the 11 Sept it was alleged that, overnight 2 men in a vehicle with Manitoba plates broke into a shed at a north end pub and removed several empty beer kegs. They later attempted to cash the beer kegs in at the Beer Store. The men and vehicle were located on Lakeshore Dr and arrested at 11:59 am. Charles Schaffernicht 22 years of Delaware Ave and Stephen Wright 25 years of Jocko Pt Rd have been charged with break enter and theft, trafficking in property obtained by crime and possession of burglary tools. Both men are to appear in court on 22Oct2013. Csts Aaron Northrup and Dan Weber are investigating.

22 males and 4 females were charged with a total of 55 offences.

These included; 20 assaults, 4 assault with a weapon, 1 assault bodily harm, 4 breach of recognizance, 6 breach of undertaking, 6 breach of probation, 4 utter threats, 3 criminal harassment, 2 mischief, 4 break and enter, and 1 theft under $5000.

Aug 2013
There were 70 domestic related occurrences.
14 males and 3 females were charged with a total of 54 offences.

These included; 19 assaults, 1 assault with a weapon, 1 sexual assault, 2 assault bodily harm, 5 breach of recognizance, 8 breach of undertaking, 1 breach of peace bond, 5 utter threats, 1 criminal harassment, 7 mischief, 2 forcible confinement, 1 break and enter, 1 theft under $5000.
