Second Device On 24th Oct a resident on Lakeside Dr after reading about the plastic bottle with volatile substance being thrown at house on Overholt Place decided to report a similar incident at his residence.

On 24th Oct a resident on Lakeside Dr after reading about the plastic bottle with volatile substance being thrown at house on Overholt Place decided to report a similar incident at his residence. On the 13th Oct he heard a loud bang outside and later discovered a plastic 375 ml plastic bottle on his front lawn. The bottle had a burn hole in it and the surrounding grass was also burned. The device was turned over to police for analysis.

The North Bay Police wish to caution the public about these types of devices. They are known as bottle bombs and can contain a variety of different substances that can be flammable, explosive, or corrosive. Some are designed to explode or burn immediately and others are designed to explode when moved or picked up.

If anyone finds a similar device they should contact their local police agency. Do not touch or move it.
