TOWN HALL MEETINGS
Members of the North Bay Police Service and Nipissing University met with 12 residents of West Ferris last night at a town hall meeting which took place at the West Ferris Community Centre. Policing priorities identified by these residents included more police patrols and/or a higher visibility for the police, problems with drugs and alcohol on the Kate Pace Way, near the mall and in the schools, and speeding along Lakeshore Dr. and some of the side streets such as Campbell Ave.
Input from the community will greatly assist the Police Service to set goals and objectives in a Business Plan that will provide direction for the Service for 2004-2006.

Town Hall meetings will continue next week and the Police Service is hoping that residents will continue to attend and participate in this invaluable exercise.
The next meetings are scheduled for:
Monday, Oct, 27, 7:00 p.m. at Eaton Court

Tuesday, Oct. 28, 7:00 p.m. at Trussler School

Wednesday, Nov. 5, 7:00 p.m. at Callander Legion, Branch 445
