Following an investigation into a domestic dispute reported to police early this morning, North Bay Police arrested and charged a 45-year-old North Bay man

A responsible citizen turned in found camera equipment of significant value to North Bay Police Service headquarters today.

Domestic violence leads to charges

Following an investigation into a domestic dispute reported to police early this morning, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

A 45-year-old North Bay man with:
One count of assault;
One count of uttering threats; and
One count of assault with a weapon.

It is alleged that on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, shortly before 12:30 a.m., a heated verbal argument between the accused and his partner in their shared residence turned violent when he hit her, threatened her and struck her with an object. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The accused, whose name the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing in the interest of protecting the identity of the victim, was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
