Sometime overnight on 26–27 June someone entered a residence on Cassells Street and removed a LOREX Video Surveillance Monitor and Recorder valued at approximately $700.00. Cst Ashley St. John is investigating.

THREATENED WITH A KNIFE

Shortly after 2 a.m. on the 28th of June, security staff at the Northeast Regional Health Centre were dealing with an irate male subject when a large hunting knife was brandished and threats were uttered. The suspect fled the area on foot and he was subsequently located by police on College Drive and arrested. Patrick Veysey, 35 years old and of no fixed address, has been charged with Uttering Threats and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. He has been held for a bail hearing. Cst Jody deHaas is investigating.

CAR ALARM

At approximately 4:24 a.m. on the 28th of June a car alarm was activated after two suspects attempted to enter a vehicle in the area of Dane Ave. The suspects fled the immediate area on foot and are believed to have left the area in a vehicle that was parked a short distance away. Cst Dan Weber is investigating. The public is reminded to lock their vehicles and to ensure personal belongings are not in plain view.
