On the 20th of June during the late afternoon hours it is alleged that a 14 year old male youth shot two other youths with a pellet gun.

The victims were struck in the forehead and back respectively but did not require medical attention.

Csts. Gerry Martin and Kyle Hughes of the North Bay Police were called to investigate and a short time later arrested the 14 year old male youth at his residence within the city.

He is charged with Assault With a Weapon, Point Firearm, Weapons Dangerous and 2 counts of Breach of Probation. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.

SPRAY PAINTED BUILDING

On the 20th of June during the evening hours Cst. Jim Kilroy of the North Bay Police received a call to attend the old CPR building on 2nd Av. W. in relation to youths spray painting the building.

The officers arrived and arrested one youth in relation to this incident.

Carl CHEVRIER 18 years old of 4th Av. E. is charged with Mischief Under $5000. and is to attend court on the 31st of July.

BEAR SIGHTING

The North Bay Police Service would like to caution the general public on the recent sightings of a bear in the Laurier Woods, Fisher St. and 1st Av. area of the city.

Our service is cautioning the public to secure their garbage, and clean their B B Q grills. Also to remember that bears are wild animals and are unpredictable.

Any sighting should be reported to the MNR at 1-866-514-2327. That agency will be attempting to live capture the animal this week.
