Kimball Foord who is riding his horse from Ontario to British Columbia to promote awareness for the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association will be travelling through North Bay on Monday the 5th of June instead of today. Kimball and his horse Two Can Cody have been delayed, as Cody needs to be reshod, and have a rest. The pair are relaxing and recuperating at a farm in Corbeil, while awaiting the farrier. It is very important to keep Cody in good shape as the pair have so far completed 800 km., and have a very long walk ahead of them. The trip began on May 6th, and will continue until they make their destination.

LOST SIGHT IN EYE

On the 30th of April it is alleged that an altercation took place in the early morning hours within a city apartment.

During this fight between two males, one of the combatants received an injury that resulted in the loss of sight in one eye.

On the 31st of May Cst. Al Bedard of the North Bay Police Service arrested a man in relation to this incident.

Brian BOBIER 28 years old of Main St. E. is charged with Aggravated Assault. He is to appear in court on the 11th of July.


ASSAULT WITH GLASS

On the 1st of June shortly after midnight it is alleged that an argument took place within a residence on Cassells St. It is further alleged that during this argument a female threw a glass at another female, which caused injury to her head and required medical attention.

Cst. Randy Adair and Jim Warren of the North Bay Police Service arrested a female in relation to this incident.

Sarah McKENZIE 18 years old of Cassells St. is charged with Assault With a Weapon. She is to appear in court on the 11th of July.


SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

On the 31st of May at approximately 8:20 AM an 11-year-old girl was waiting for her school bus in the 600 block of Ann St. During this time a male driving a blue/purple vehicle approached her. This male then began to talk to her and wanted to give her a ride to school. She refused and he persisted and allegedly further stated that he was her grandfather. The school bus then arrived and the man left.

The vehicle is further described as having 2 doors and had a cat and a dog inside.

The man is described as male white, 50 to 60 years old, grey hair, glasses, short and skinny with make up on his face and wearing a pink/blue shirt with a vest.
