RIDE AWARNESS

The North Bay Police Service wishes to advise the driving public that our officers
will be patrolling at various times of the day and night in relation to our RIDE
program over the August long weekend.
The RIDE unit will begin Friday the 1st August until Monday the 4th of August 2008.

Impaired drivers are not only driving during the early morning hours as well as the
afternoon hours. Our officers and our RIDE unit will be keeping this in mind when
on patrol.

ROAD CLOSURE

The North Bay Police Service would like to advise the community that Memorial Drive
is now closed to all regular traffic until Monday the 4th of August, as well Oak St.
is closed due to the regular construction. This is causing a lot of traffic
congestion in the downtown area as well on the overpass to Lakeshore Dr.
Please have patience when travelling these routes, as it will take extra time to
reach your destination. If at all possible it is suggested to find an alternative
route to Lakeshore Dr.

MISCHIEF

On the 30th of July during the overnight hours it is alleged that Ste. Anne School on Albert St. had 3 windows smashed at the rear of the building but no entry was gained. There are no suspects at this time.

Anyone with information on this crime or any other are asked to call Near North Crime Stoppers at 476-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
