FIRE BUG CAUGHT On the 29th of July at approximately 2 PM it is alleged that a fire was started in a dumpster near Chippewa Secondary School. Cst. Steve Taylor attended the scene and advised other officers of the circumstances.

On the 29th of July at approximately 2 PM it is alleged that a fire was started in a dumpster near Chippewa Secondary School.
Cst. Steve Taylor attended the scene and advised other officers of the circumstances. A few minutes later Cst. Darcy Wall arrested a suspect a short distance away.
Shane VAN DUSSEN 18 years old of Franklin St. is charged with 5 counts of Arson, being the one set in the dumpster and the 4 previous port-o-johns that were set on fire within the city. He is being held for a bail hearing.

VANDALISM

Overnight on the 29th of July it is alleged that a new home under construction on Perut St. in North Bay was unlawfully entered and then persons unknown splattered paint on the floors and walls causing extensive damage.
This home was to be completed on Friday the 31st of July.
