DRUG BUST On the 25th of July shortly after 10 PM members of the North Bay Police Service Emergency Response Team executed a Search Warrant at a basement apartment in the 100 block of Massey Dr.
DRUG BUST

On the 25th of July shortly after 10 PM members of the North Bay Police Service Emergency Response Team executed a Search Warrant at a basement apartment in the 100 block of Massey Dr.

Two male individuals were within the residence and while attempting to flee were also attempting to dispose of bundles of cash.

Within the home was a 9 MM Beretta hand gun with several bullets readily accessible as well as one replica handgun.

The officers also seized:

278 capsules of what is believed to be Ecstasy
29 grams of what is believed to be marijuana
260 grams of what is believed to be cocaine
approximately $8000. in cash
a cocaine press and digital scale

Derrick LAJOIE 23 years old of McLelland St. is Ottawa is charged with the following:

Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of a prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (cocaine)
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (ecstasy)
Possession of Cocaine
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
Possession of Firearm while Prohibited.

Luke CUTTS 20 years old of Massey Dr. is charged with:

Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition
Possession of property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (marijuana)
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (ecstasy)
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (cocaine)
6 counts of Failing to comply with a Recognizance
Breach of Probation.

Both individuals were kept in custody for a bail hearing.

BREAK & ENTER

An alarm that sounded at Jackman’s Flowers on Worthington St. on the 26th of July at approximately 3:30 AM, prevented burglars from entering the premises.

Officer from our Service responded and saw that metal doors and deadbolts to the rear entrance had been damaged in an attempt to enter the business. No entry was gained and nothing was taken.
