ASSAULT AND THREATENING On Dec. 17 a male adult struck a female who was known to him,within the city. She did not require medical attention.

On Dec. 17 a male adult struck a female who was known to him,within the city. She did not require medical attention. The next day while at a local bar, this same male then approached the female's boyfriend and struck him in the mouth and then threatened to kill him.

Cst. Bruce Whitehead and Roger Drolet of the North Bay Police Service attended the bar area and arrested the male.

Gilles VIENS 37 years old of Main St. E. is charged with Threatening and two counts of Assault. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.


PELLET GUN CALL
On Dec. 17 a man was working outside on Worthington St. W. when he was suddenly struck by a pellet. Officers of the North Bay Police Service responded and gained access to a home across the street. A pellet rifle was seized and the investigation continues. The victim did not require medical
attention.



ATTEMPT THEFT OF AUTO
Thieves attempted to steal a vehicle Dec. 17 while it was parked in the 600 block of Oak St. E.
The Chrysler vehicle had the door lock broken and then the ignition had been pulled out.


BREAK AND ENTER
During daylight hours thieves entered a home in the 900 block of Peninsula Road through an unlocked window. Once inside they stole approximately $4000 of rolled loonies and toonies. These coins had more than likely been carried
away in a dark green duffle bag with yellow stitching and the words "Glen Abbey" and a golfer depicted on it. This bag would have been very heavy.
