Weapons On the 14th Aug at 10:15a.m. Police responded to a complaint of a man at a pharmacy on the 1200 block of Algonquin Ave with bear spray and a bayonet. The man had left the area.

On the 14th Aug at 10:15a.m. Police responded to a complaint of a man at a pharmacy on the 1200 block of Algonquin Ave with bear spray and a bayonet. The man had left the area. Investigation revealed that the man had stolen the weapons from a store on Algonquin Ave, concealed them, then attended the pharmacy where he took them out and showed them to the employees. Jason Gagne 37 years of Trout Lake Rd was located and arrested at a residence on Lakeshore Dr at 10:50 a.m. He has been charged with theft, possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon while prohibited, 2 counts of carry concealed weapon, and 2 counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing. Csts Greg Dix and Sue Solman investigated.

Break and Enter Alarm
At 2:49a.m. North Bay Police responded to a business alarm in the 200 block of McIntyre St E. Investigation revealed that the building had been entered and the front counter audible alarm set off causing the culprit to flee. Nothing has been reported stolen. Cst Doug MacIntosh is investigating.
