On September 23, 2017, 20-year-old Nicolas Martel of North Bay attended the North Bay Police Service at the request of police where he was arrested and charged

Distribute intimate image/child pornography

Further to the Sept. 13, 2017 release, a second male has been arrested and charged.

On Sept. 23, 2017, 20-year-old Nicolas Martel of North Bay attended the North Bay Police Service at the request of police where he was arrested and charged with:
Distribute an intimate image without consent and
Distribute Child Pornography contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

Martel was identified as having shared intimate images of a female without her knowledge or consent as well as images that meet the criminal code definition of child pornography from a separate undercover police investigation commencing back in June of 2017.

Martel was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking with a court date of Oct. 31, 2017.

Traffik cannabis marijuana by sewing

A woman was visiting an inmate at the North Bay District Jail on Sept. 24, 2017 and brought some clothing for the prisoner. She had sewed approximately 2 grams of marijuana into a pair of jeans on the inside of the jeans. The District Jail employees noticed it and turned it over to the North Bay Police.   

39 year old Amanda Boucher of North Bay is charged with:
Traffick Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

She was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking with a court date of Oct. 31, 2017.
