WEEKEND Over the weekend, the North Bay Police responded to 212 calls for service that resulted in 19 arrests. Offences included assaults, domestic assaults, mischief, impaired driving, breach of court orders and public intoxication.

Over the weekend, the North Bay Police responded to 212 calls for service that resulted in 19 arrests. Offences included assaults, domestic assaults, mischief, impaired driving, breach of court orders and public intoxication.

POINT FIREARM
It is alleged that at 9:00pm on the 20th Sept a woman drove a man to a residence on 2nd Av E where he put on sunglasses and placed a white bandana over his face. He entered the residence where he located 2 men. He pointed a firearm at one of the two men but left after a short conversation with the other. At 9:00am on the 21st Sept, Brent Cobb 37yrs of St Laurent Ct was arrested on Copeland St and at 5:38 pm a search warrant was executed at his residence. A firearm was located and seized. He has been charged with, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, disguise with intent, possession of a firearm while prohibited, unsafe storage of a firearm and 2 counts of mischief. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing. Heather Cobb was arrested at11:55 am 21st Sept as a party to the offence and charged with pointing a firearm. She is to appear in court on Nov 6th.

TRAFFICKING
On 22nd Sept an investigation by the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit revealed that a man was leaving a Norwood Ave residence at 5:25pm with a quantity of methamphetamine pills that he was to sell at a prearranged meet. He was arrested on Norwood Ave and 74 pills believed to be methamphetamine were found on his person. Brian Sloan 38yrs of Norwood Av has been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
