Over the weekend, North Bay Police responded to 233 calls for service that resulted in 12 arrests. Offences included public intoxication; impaired driving; sexual assault; domestic assault; utter threats; careless storage of a firearm; aggravated assault; assault with a weapon; break, enter and commit; disguise with intent; and breach of probation.

Update – Stabbing incident on King Street West

Following a news release that was issued on Saturday regarding a stabbing incident that took place on Friday evening on King Street West, North Bay Police have arrested and charged the following persons.

Broady McKenna, age 20, of North Bay, was arrested at 10:24 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 following a traffic stop by North Bay Police. As a result of the investigation, police charged him with aggravated assault; assault with a weapon; break, enter and commit; and breach of probation. He was held in custody for bail.

Alexander Butler, age 22, of Mattawa, was arrested at 11:55 a.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2014. As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police charged him with aggravated assault; assault with a weapon; break, enter and commit; disguise with intent; and breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail.

The investigation continues.

Utter threats and careless storage of a firearm

Following an investigation into a domestic dispute which was reported to police on Saturday, October 24, North Bay Police have arrested and charged a 47-year-old North Bay man with uttering threats and careless storage of a firearm. As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police Service seized the accused’s firearms. He was released with a court date scheduled for November.

To protect the identity of the victim, North Bay Police will not be releasing the name of the accused.
