PURSE SNATCHER ARRESTED On Oct. 1 shortly before 5 PM an elderly woman was pushing her walker down Chippewa Street near the secondary school when allegedly she was knocked down from behind and had her purse stolen from her.

knocked down from behind and had her purse stolen from her.

With witness descriptions, approximately 15 minutes later, a short distance away, Det. Cst. Tina Murphy and Cst. Helen Kent arrested a suspect in relation to this.
Edward Marc GIBSON, 23, of Aubrey Street is charged with robbery and is to appear in court Nov. 16.

STUDENT ARRESTED
On Oct. 1 at approximately 11 a.m. a student at a local secondary school allegedly offered to sell Ecstacy to another student. Then this same student rolled a marijuana cigarette and began to smoke it on school
grounds.

School authorities and School Liaison Officer Paul Trahan, of the North Bay Police Service, arrested the individual.

Aaron LAL, 20, of Sherbrooke Street, is charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

He is to appear in court Nov. 9.

YOUTH CARRIES KNIFE
On Oct 1 while at a local secondary school dance, it is alleged that a 14-year-old male got into an argument with another youth and then showed him a knife that he had under his shirt. He further threatened to
slit the victim's throat.

The North Bay Police Service was called and Cst. Fernando Cirullo arrested a 14-year-old male youth in relation to this incident.

He is charged with uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and carrying
a concealed weapon.

He is to appear in court Nov. 10.

TWO YOUTHS FOR BREAK AND ENTER
On Oct. 2 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Cst. Vicky Thisdelle and Ross Lingley of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend a break and enter in progress on Premier Road.

The officers arrived and arrested two male youths at the scene. A 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy are charged with break and enter with intent.

Both were sent to the youth section for referral.

BREAK AND ENTER
Between the evening of Sept. 26 and Oct. 1, someone entered the YMCA/ROTARY Camp Tillicum and vandalized several buildings. They also stole
two fire extinguishers.
