Man faces charges for thefts from vehicles

Following an investigation into a call received from a concerned citizen on Friday morning, reporting a man who was going through vehicles in a residential area, North Bay Police arrested and charged the male suspect.

At 7 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, a concerned citizen contacted police to report that a man was going through vehicles on Brookes Street. North Bay Police were immediately dispatched to the area where they located the suspect hiding in a vehicle. Following his arrest, police searched him. Property seized included sunglasses, lighters, loose change, a bag, and a media player.

As a result of the investigation, the 25-year-old North Bay man was charged with seven counts of theft under $5,000. The accused was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for Dec. 13, 2016.
