On November 5, 2017 at approximately 0001 hours, North Bay Police officers attended a residence on Fourth Avenue East after a call was received regarding a complaint of an assault.

The following is a news release from North Bay Police:

Man faces charges for forcible confinement, utter threats and assault with a weapon

Jamey McCabe, age 35, of North Bay is charged with:
One count of forcible confinement;
One count of assault;
One count of utter threats to cause death;
Assault with a weapon; and
Breach of recognizance, 2 counts

On Nov. 5, 2017 at approximately 0001 hours, North Bay Police officers attended a residence on Fourth Avenue East after a call was received regarding a complaint of an assault.

It is alleged that the victim was asleep on the couch when the accused punched him in the face and threatened to kill him for stealing. The victim was then confined to the residence at knife point. The victim managed to escape the residence through a window and go to a neighbors to call police.

The victim and the accused were known to each other.

The male victim was transported to hospital to be treated for minor, non-life threatening injuries.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
