DOMESTIC ASSAULTS On November 22nd, a 49-year-old male was arrested in relation to a confrontation he had with his former spouse. She was grabbed and slapped. He is charged with domestic assault and will appear in Court Dec. 2nd. Also on Nov.

On November 22nd, a 49-year-old male was arrested in relation to a confrontation he had with his former spouse. She was grabbed and slapped. He is charged with domestic assault and will appear in Court Dec. 2nd.

Also on Nov. 22nd, a 37-year-old male was arrested by police in relation to pushing incidents on his spouse. The male is charged with domestic assault and will also appear in court Dec. 2nd.

On November 23rd, a 26-year-old male got into an argument with his spouse and their friends at the family residence. After the guests had left, the male ended up punching the spouse in the face causing her to fall down some stairs. She did not require hospital attention. The male remains in custody charged with Domestic Assault and Breach of probation.

BREAK AND ENTERS

On Nov. 22nd, in the early morning hours, police responded to a report of a suspicious male in the 200 block of Chippewa St. As a result of that, a male was apprehended at the rear of a building in the 1700 block of Cassells Street. The male was found in possession of break-in instruments and was carrying a knife. As a result of investigation by Cst. Greg McClenaghan and Cst. Jeff Warner, with assistance from Technical Services and D/Cst Brewer, Marcel Diotte, 38, using an address in the 500 block of Metcalfe St ( formerly from Sturgeon Falls) has been charged with 18 counts of Break and Enter mainly relating to laundry room thefts on Fraser St., Trout Lake Rd., Laurentian Ave., Fisher St., Worthington St. E, Lindsay St., Sixth Ave. W., Kehoe St., Douglas St., and Cassells St. as well as a Restaurant in the 200 block of Lakeshore Dr., and the offices of buildings in the 300 block Lakeshore and 200 block Victoria St.

During the hours of 1830 to 2200 on Nov. 21st, an apartment in the 100 block of Main St. W. was forcibly entered. Culprit(s) removed a lap top computer, a charge for a cell phone and a Sony discman from the residence.

During the hours of 2145 and 0250 on Nov. 21/22, a residence on Gertrude St. E. was forcibly entered and ransacked. A jar of coin ( value $ 30) was taken.

THEFT OVER
Taken from the rear yard at 260 Pinewood Park Dr. over the weekend was a 2000 flatbed trailer # X74-040 loaded with tarped lumber valued at $ 18,000.00.
