Busy Weekend For North Bay Police

The officers of the North Bay Police Service were kept busy this past weekend with among other incidents the following:

3 arrests for Causing a Disturbance

3 arrests for Intoxicated in a Public Place

3 arrests for Assault

2 arrests for Impaired Driving

Various Charges

On the 27th of May it is alleged that a man entered a residence on Front St. without the owner’s permission and stole cash and a cell phone as well as used the vehicle to that residence.

Cst. Mike Hunter of the North Bay Police Service received the call and shortly after arrested a male in relation to these incidents.

Jordan VanMierlo 20 years old of Metcalfe St. is charged with Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House, Take Motor Vehicle Without Permission, 2 counts of Theft Under and Possession of Stolen property. He is to appear in court on the 11th of July.

Fight

On the 26th of May at approximately 6 PM various officers of the North Bay Police Service responded to a fight in progress on Cassells St. The officers arrived and ended up charging one of the combatants with having stolen a hat from one of the other combatants.

Noah HOWELL 18 years old of Kehoe St. is charged with Robbery and remained in custody for a bail hearing.

Attempted Break & Enter

Overnight on the 27th of May would be thieves broke the Plexiglas window to the bar entrance of the Chief Commanda at the Lake Nipissing waterfront Nothing appears to have been taken.

Theft From & Damage To Vehicles

Overnight on the 25th of May thieves stole property from 3 vehicles and during this same time period 4 other vehicles also had items stolen from within as well as having damage such as a broken window or spray-paint to the automobiles.

The location of events is in the 800-900 block of Ann St., 700 block of Galt St. 100 block of 3rd Av. W. and 100 block of Chippewa St. E.
