WEEKEND Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 265 calls for service that resulted in 21 arrests, 7 of which were breach of court orders and 11 for public intoxication.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 265 calls for service that resulted in 21 arrests, 7 of which were breach of court orders and 11 for public intoxication. Other offences included assaults, domestic assaults, threatening and resisting arrest.

BREAK AND ENTER ASSAULT
At 2:00 PM 12May a woman made an unlawful entry to an Oakwood Ave residence but left when spoken to by the male resident. The woman was arrested a short distance away, charged and released with a court date. At 5:25PM the same woman went to another Oakwood residence, assaulted a resident male by punching him several times then fled. She was arrested a short distance away. Chantal Raymond 25yrs of Oakwood Ave has been charged with break and enter, assault and 2 counts of breach of probation. She was held in custody for a bail hearing.

THEFT RESULTS IN OTHER CHARGES
On 13th May at 1:30PM a man took 2 rings from a jewellery store at Northgate and when confronted, threw one ring and fled with the other. When located by security he assaulted the security guard and fled. When located by police he threatened the officers, resisted arrest and then assaulted an officer. John Atchison 28yrs of McIntyre St E has been charged with theft under, 2 counts of assault, assault resist arrest, uttering threats, and assault police. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

POLICE WEEK COPS FOR CANCER
The Cops for Cancer head shaving will take place at centre square at Northgate at 2:00PM today. We expect approximately 20 North Bay Police representatives to shave their head for cancer. One of our female administrative professionals, Elaine Morin and her girl friend Tracy Hamelin have raised $2500 and will be having their heads shaved. We invite the media to attend. You can be the first to vote for the ugliest head. One dollar per vote.
