WEEKEND Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 200 calls for service that resulted in 9 arrests. Offences included assault with a weapon, domestic assault, assault, theft, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 200 calls for service that resulted in 9 arrests. Offences included assault with a weapon, domestic assault, assault, theft, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
North Bay Police are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred at 1:30AM on May 5 at a bush party at the old reservoir off of the end of Ski Club Rd. A man was struck in the face with a beer bottle causing deep lacerations that required dozens of stitches to close. The investigation is continuing.

THEFT OF PURSE
At 11:00 PM on May 5 purse and a cell phone were stolen from a vehicle parked on Rancier St. At 11:55 PM the suspect was arrested on Gould St near Stockdale Av. Tyler Straughan 28yrs of no fixed address has been charged with theft, trespass by night, and breach of probation. The purse and some of the contents are still outstanding and may have been discarded somewhere between Rancier and Stockdale. Cst Sue Solman is investigating.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
At 12:01 AM on the 6th May an altercation between 2 men resulted in one man striking the other with a baseball bat. Donald Valiquette 31 yrs of Wasi Rd was charged with assault with a weapon. He was held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Bill Gainforth is investigating.

THEFT OF VEHICLE
At 12:02 AM 05th May a motor vehicle was stolen from a driveway on Third Av. At 2:25 the vehicle was stopped by police on the 100 Block of Oak St E. Scott Wagg 22 yrs of McGibbon St was arrested and charged with theft of the vehicle and 2 counts of breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
