Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 186 calls for service that resulted in 15 arrests. Offences included assaults, domestic assaults, thefts, possession of stolen property, pointing a firearm, threatening death, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Pointing a Firearm

On March 20, the North Bay Police received information that a man had pointed a firearm at 2 children. The subsequent investigation resulted in a 29-year-old man being arrested on the 21st of March and charged with pointing a firearm and possession of a firearm contrary to a court order. He is to appear in court on May 6, 2014. Cst Ken Ayres is investigating.

Attempt Break and enter

At 6 p.m. on the 23rd of March, an alarm at a Tower Dr. Residence caused the neighbour to check the residence. Entry had been attempted by breaking a door screen but the alarm scared the suspect off. Cst Melodee Prevost is investigating.


Stolen Snow Machines

Between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. on the 23rd of March, a trailer with 2 snowmachines on it was stolen from the parking lot of a south end motel. They are described as:
2013 Trailer – Black and silver aluminium. lic # K1895F.
2013 Skidoo Summit 800, black, lic # 5AE568.
2013 Skidoo 600, black, lic# 2AF707.
