ADVISED LATE On the 17th of Feb. during school hours it is alleged that an 18 year old secondary school student attacked another younger male student while outside of the school.

On the 17th of Feb. during school hours it is alleged that an 18 year old secondary school student attacked another younger male student while outside of the school.
Further, that the victim was punched repeatedly until he fell to the ground and hit his head. The attacker then jumped on the victim and continued pummelling him about the body and face.
The male victim required stitches and also suffered a slight concussion.
The School Liaison Unit of the North Bay Police Cst. Al Bedard became aware of this much later and on the 5th of March he arrested a suspect in relation to this alleged incident.
Jeremiah McEDWARDS 18 years old of Main Street Powassan is charged with Assault Bodily Harm and is to appear in court on the 4th of May.

ROBBERY IN BOARDING HOUSE

On the 5th of March at approximately 5:30 PM it is alleged that a male attended another tenant’s room in a boarding house and demanded money from him while he was pushing him around. The male victim was then threatened with physical injury should he not comply with the request for money.
On the 6th of March at approximately 11 PM Csts. Greg Dix and Kailey Bradley of the North Bay Police arrested a suspect in relation to this alleged incident.
Tyler WHITNALL 22 years old of McIntyre St. E. is charged with Robbery and Breach of Probation. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.

BREAK & ENTERS

Overnight on the 4th of March thieves forced their way into a residence on Pinewood Park Dr. At this time medication was stolen. It is possible that the thieves thought this medication was a narcotic, however it is Warfarin. This medication causes the blood to thin and under normal circumstances could prove very dangerous to a person having normal blood coagulation.

Overnight on the 5th of March would be thieves attempted to gain entry to the Grannittis Restaurant in the 500 block of Lakeshore Dr.
A metal bar was used in an attempt to pry open the doors but when this became unsuccessful, the bar was then used to smash the door window, however, entry was not gained.
