Robbery On June 23, 2006 a lone female entered into the Mac’s Milk located at John and Main Streets, where she selected a couple of confectionary items.

On June 23, 2006 a lone female entered into the Mac’s Milk located at John and Main Streets, where she selected a couple of confectionary items. Upon attending the cashier she indicated “it was a hold up” and made a gesture that she had a weapon. 28-year-old Amy Jones of Barrie, Ontario was apprehended outside the store and will appear in court today charged with robbery.

Attempt Break and Enter


In the late evening hours of June 23, 2006 thieves made an attempt to break into a business In the 100 block Oak Street West area. No entry was gained.

Break and Enters


Police are investigating the following Break and Enters:

A Gertrude Street West residence was broken into between 11:30 and 14:30 June 23, 2006. A quantity of cash was taken.

Over night June 23, 2006 unknown person(s) broke into a hair salon, located in the 100-block Oak Street, West area. Taken were a variety of items. Thieves also broke into a similar business located in the 100-block Main Street West area. Several of items were taken as well as several rooms being ransacked.

Stolen Vehicle


On June 25, 2006 at approximately 4 a.m. police received a report of a stolen vehicle from the Galt/Rose Street area. Stolen was a 1989 GMC ½ ton, blue in color with black fenders. The licence plate is XB7351.
