Weekend Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 237 calls for service that resulted in 14 arrests.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 237 calls for service that resulted in 14 arrests. Offences included assaults, domestic assaults, assault bodily harm, thefts, impaired driving, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Robbery
At 5:30p.m. on the 15th June, a 17 yr old male was in a school parking lot on Obrien St when a group of 10 to 12 teenagers came from behind him. One person struck him in the face, another pushed him into the wall of the school, His hat and school bag were taken and the group ran south on Obrien St towards Cassells St. One of the suspects is described as; male, white 15-18yrs with a chin strap and shaggy brown hair wearing a black muscle shirt and long shorts. A second suspect is described as; male, native, teenage, 6ft tall wearing long shorts and a black shirt. A third is male, large build, wearing a red shirt and long shorts. The items stolen are a blue ball cap with Hartford Whalers in green and a black knapsack containing a St. Joseph Scollard Hall uniform and personal resumes. Cst Chris Marshall is investigating.

Theft
At 9:25a.m. On the 14th June the North Bay Police responded a theft call on Main St W where 2 ATV’s and the contents of boats were stolen. At 10:50a.m. Police located a man in a tent near Kinsman Beach. He was in possession of some of the items stolen from the boats. Tyler Quiring-Daley 20yrs of No Fixed address was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Greg Randall is investigating.

Thefts
On the 28th May a man had reported that a woman entered his car, asked for a ride and when he refused she left with his wallet that was on the front seat.
On the 4th of June a woman reported that she had allowed another woman into her residence but the guest had stolen money from her purse. Investigation revealed the same woman was responsible for both incidents. Chrystal Martin 25yrs of Worthington St W was arrested on the 16th June and charged with 2 counts of theft under $5000 and 2 counts of breach of probation. Cst Ashley St. John investigated

Weapons
At 11:36p.m. 14th June an altercation took place outside a First Ave W residence. A man pulled out a large knife, threatened the other person with it, then left the area. At 12:08 a.m. he was located by police in a bar on the 100block of Main St E where he resisted arrest and dropped the knife in the process. Jaiden St.George 19yrs of Cullen Court has been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, threatening death, resist arrest and breach of probation. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing. Csts Ashley St.John and Sarah Kavanagh investigated.

Assault Bodily Harm
On the 4th June a young man was punched and kicked in the face in a bush area near the waterfront. The ongoing investigation has identified 2 of the suspects involved. A 17 yr old male was arrested on the 16th June and charged with assault bodily harm and 3 counts of breach of probation. Nathaniel Poyton 20 yrs of Main St E was arrested on the 17th June and charged with assault bodily harm and breach of undertaking. Both persons were held in custody for bail hearings.
