Weekend Occurrences Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 230 calls for service that resulted in 6 arrests. Offences included public intoxication, domestic assault, breach, mischief and drug trafficking.

Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 230 calls for service that resulted in 6 arrests. Offences included public intoxication, domestic assault, breach, mischief and drug trafficking.

Drug Trafficking

A North Bay man faced a drug trafficking charge over the weekend, following a North Bay Police Service investigation.

With the intent to sell marijuana, the accused used social media as a means of communication to arrange a meeting with an undercover officer. On Saturday, June 7, 2014 at approximately 7:35 p.m., North Bay Police met with the accused at the arranged meeting site in the North end of the city. The accused had 470 grams of marijuana on him, at a street value of $7,500. As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police charged Justin McCoy, age 30, of Massey Drive, North Bay with one charge of drug trafficking. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Stolen Vehicle

The North Bay Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a stolen vehicle.

Between approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 7 and 7 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt 4-door beige car was stolen from the driveway of a residence on the 200 block of Charland Drive, North Bay.
