Weekend Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 184 calls for service that resulted in 10 arrests. Offences included assaults, sexual assaults, assault peace officer, frauds, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 184 calls for service that resulted in 10 arrests. Offences included assaults, sexual assaults, assault peace officer, frauds, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.
 
Assault Police
 
At 6:30 p.m. on January 18 a man unknown to the residents walked into their home on Worthington St. W. and refused to leave. Once the police were called he left and was located on the 100 block of Worthington St W.  He fought with the officers when he was arrested, when he got to police headquarters and when he was placed in the cell. Robert Barnes, 45 years old, of High St. has been charged with 3 counts of assault police, 2 counts of assault resist arrest and held in custody for a bail hearing. Csts Robin Boucher and Scott Berry are investigating.
 
Frauds
 
An investigation into fraudulently obtained loans dating from 2005 has resulted in January 17, 2014 arrest of Malcolm Park, 54 years old, of Bromley Ave. He has been charged with 5 counts of uttering a forged document, 5 counts of drawing a document without authority, fraud over $5000, and unauthorized use of credit card. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Scott McFarlane is investigating.
 
R.I.D.E. Stats
 
Over the weekend the R.I.D.E. program checked a total of 332 vehicles in 6 different locations. Two roadside screening tests were administered and one Highway Traffic Act charge processed.
