WEEKEND RIDE STATS Over the past weekend officers with the North Bay Police service conducted RIDE checks and stopped 327 vehicles. All drivers were sober and only 2 Highway Traffic Act charges were laid. STRANGE BEHAVIOUR On the 9th of Aug.

Over the past weekend officers with the North Bay Police service conducted RIDE checks and stopped 327 vehicles.
All drivers were sober and only 2 Highway Traffic Act charges were laid.

STRANGE BEHAVIOUR

On the 9th of Aug. at approximately 9:30 PM Cst. Kailey Bradley accompanied by another officer with the North Bay Police were flagged down by a citizen who advised them of a fire within an apartment.
The officers attended an apartment unit in the 200 block of Main St. E. and could see a man sitting by a pile of clothes that were on fire.
The officers forced open the door and extinguished the fire and rescued a male from the interior.
It should be noted that several other tenants live within this building.
Larry HUNT 54 years old of Main St. E. is charged with Arson, Disregard for Human Life and Breach of Probation. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

ROWDY PARTY

On the 3rd of Aug. it is alleged that a party took place within a home on Gladstone Av. in North Bay. During this time it is further alleged that a man damaged a vehicle by jumping on the roof and kicking a door as well as damaging the siding to the house.
Cst. Erin Honeysett of the North Bay Police received the complaint and on the 9th of Aug. arrested a male in relation to the offences.
Kenneth GOLDING 22 years old of Highway 11 North is charged with 2 counts of Mischief and is to appear in court on the 6th of Oct.

ANGRY WOMAN

On the 8th of Aug. during the early morning hours it is alleged that a woman attended a home within the city and began to assault a male as well as destroy property within the dwelling.
The male was allegedly scratched, punched and had an electronic game broken over his head.
Cst. Ashley St. John of the North Bay Police attended and arrested a woman in relation to these alleged incidents.
Alisa HEWITT 34 years old of McKay St. is charged with 2 counts of Assault, Mischief and Assault With a Weapon and is to appear in court on the 18th of Aug.

VICTIM SPOTS HIS BICYCLE

On the 7th of Aug. at approximately 3 PM a victim spotted a man with his stolen bicycle and began following him while waiting for police.
Csts. Daniel Shepstone and Randy Adair of the North Bay Police attended the area of McIntyre St. and Regina St. and arrested a male person.
Ivan SEGUIN 39 years old of Morin St. is charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Probation.
He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

BREAK & ENTERS

Between the 8th and 9th of Aug. thieves made their way into a home via an unlocked rear door in the 200 block of Princess St. E. and stole a computer, monitor and keyboard. The residence was ransacked but nothing else appears to have been taken.

Overnight on the 8th of Aug. thieves entered an unlocked home via a fire escape exit in the 500 block of O’Brien St.
It appears that nothing was taken and it is presumed that a television that had been left on, frightened the would be thieves.

Between the 7th and 9th of Aug. thieves entered a shed in the 700 block of Reynolds St. and then attempted to pry open the attached house door. However it appears that entry was not gained to the home at that time.

Missing Person

The North Bay Police Service is requesting the assistance of the public in locating 30 year old Andrew Niland. Mr. Niland was last seen on Tuesday August 4th 2009.

Mr. Niland is described as male, Caucasian, 5’10”, 150 lbs, shaved brown hair, blue eyes, two star tattoos on his forehead with small implants embedded under the tattoos, and black hoop ear stretchers.
