Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 243 calls for service that resulted in 18 arrests. Offences included assaults, domestic assaults, robbery, threatening, impaired driving, breach of court orders and several for public intoxication.

Street Crime

At 8:55 p.m. on 1st Aug a street crime investigation resulted in a vehicle with a man and a woman in it being checked in the parking lot at 300 lakeshore Dr. The man was observed to toss a baggie containing 17.4 grams of what is believed to be cocaine. A set of brass knuckles was found on the man and a concealed knife was found on the woman. James O’Conner 32 years of Vanier St was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of a prohibited weapon, and breach of a prohibition order. Jessica Betts 22 years of Trout Creek was charged with carry concealed weapon and breach of recognizance. The street value of the cocaine is approximately $1700. Both persons were held in custody for bail hearings.


Robbery

A 15 year old male was arrested on the 3rd Aug for a 30th of July robbery where it is alleged that he shoved another teenager several times then took his hat. He has been charged with robbery, breach of recognizance, and breach of probation. He is to appear in youth court on 14th Aug 2013. Cst Scott Berry is investigating.



Assault

On the 4th Aug a neighbour situation on Lakeshore Dr resulted in the arrest of Paul Myers 47 years of Lakeshore Dr. It is alleged that he threatened to kill one of his neighbours and tried to punch him. He has been charged with assault and threatening. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Zach Dagg is investigating.

Break and Enter

On Aug 4th between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. a second story residence on the 300 block of Main St E was accessed by using a ladder to enter a rear window. Items stolen include Fentanyl patches, a watch, 4 rings, 2 necklaces, bracelets, and a quantity of cash. Cst Stacy Jackson is investigating.
