WEEKEND Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 227 calls for service that resulted in 18 arrests for a variety of charges.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 227 calls for service that resulted in 18 arrests for a variety of charges. These included break and enters, assaults, impaired drivers, breach of court orders and several for public intoxication.

THEFT OVER
At 3:00 PM 27th Apr 3 men and 3 women entered a store on the 100 block of Main St W. While some distracted the clerk the others kept moving around the store touching things. A quantity of cash and a large amount of gold jewellery was later discovered missing from the office. The 6 people are described as: East Indian and the women were all in long black gowns and head dresses. Cst Seth Dinsmore is investigating.

BREAK AND ENTER
At 3:45 AM 30th Apr police responded to a complaint of a break in at a store on the 3000 block of Trout Lake Rd. Two males were observed in the store stealing cigarettes. They exited the store and fled in a vehicle towards North Bay. The vehicle was stopped on Trout Lake Rd at Lees Rd. The cigarettes were located in the back seat. Jordan Maki 18yrs of Bank St and Tyler Jordan 18 yrs of Brennan St are both charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property, and possession of break-in instruments. Cst Steve Chabbert is investigating.
