Weekend Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 210 calls for service that resulted in 11 arrests.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 210 calls for service that resulted in 11 arrests. Offences included assaults, domestic assaults, assault with a weapon, thefts, impaired driving, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Weapon Charges
An argument about cell phone use resulted in male young person being arrested at 11:35 am on the 27th Apr. It is alleged that he brandished a butcher knife then threatened to stab the other person while lunging forward with the knife. He was tackled and restrained until police arrived. He has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, and breach of probation. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Geoff Whittle is investigating.

Theft
At 11:13 am on the 26th Apr, North Bay Police responded to a complaint of a man cutting the copper ground wires off of the hydro poles in the area of First St and Commercial St. Subsequent investigation located the copper and identified the suspect. Raymond Michaud 29yrs of Algonquin Ave was arrested at 2:14 pm and charged with Theft under $5000. He is to appear in court on Jun 11th 2013. Csts Ross Lingley and Ashley St. John investigated.
