BURGLAR CAUGHT On April 25 during the afternoon hours a burglar was coming out of the rear of a residence in the 500 block of McIntyre Street E when the owner of the home caught him. He was held for Cst.

On April 25 during the afternoon hours a burglar was coming out of the rear of a residence in the 500 block of McIntyre Street E when the owner of the home caught him. He was held for Cst. Hampel and Gardiner of the North Bay Police Service who arrived shortly after.

Kevin Dwight BROOKS, 34, of no fixed address, is charged with break, enter and theft. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

ANOTHER B&E ARREST
On April 24 Cst. Larry Asselin of the North Bay Police Service charged another male person in relation to a previous break and enter. This entry had occurred on April 20 in an apartment on Trout Lake Road.

Sean Michael ROUSSEAU, 27, of Main Street, in Powassan, is charged with break, enter and theft. He is to appear in court June 1.

BREAK AND ENTERS
Sometime during the past two weeks, someone broke into a trailer on Little Down Road. Once inside, tools and a camera were taken.

Overnight April 22 thieves pried open the handle off an aluminium shed on Rowe Avenue. They moved a snowblower but took nothing.

Overnight April 23 thieves entered an insecure garage on Shore Acres Boulevard. They stole numerous tools consisting of :

A Black and Decker power screwdriver with a black case; three Dewalt power drills with black cases; a set of drill bits in a purple case; two sets of ratchets; a Black and Decker jig saw; a Black and Decker Skill saw; a Dewalt portable mitre saw; a Dewalt hand sander; and a black plastic toolbox with assorted tools.
The total value of this loss is over $1500.

Shortly before 2 AM April 26 a home owner in the 200 block of Charland Drive heard his dog bark and went to investigate. The lights were on inside his home and then he noticed that a 5” TV and some liquor was missing. The thieves had entered via an unlocked sunroom door.

Cst. Bill McMullen and Peter Brunette of the North Bay Police Service attended and searched the area. Two individuals fled the beach area. The officers located the above stolen items hidden behind another nearby residence.

Note: Numerous break and enters have recently occurred in the Ferris area where it is believed that the thieves make their way along the beach.
