Weekend Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 199 calls for service that resulted in 10 arrests.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 199 calls for service that resulted in 10 arrests. Offences included domestic assaults, assaults, assault police, break and enter, trafficking, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Break and Enter
On the 20th Apr at 10:50 pm the Street Crime Unit observed two men on bicycles with a trailer enter a construction site at 1500 Fisher St where they entered a shed and removed car batteries. Raoul Langlois 36yrs of First Ave E and Ted Stanley 39 yrs of Trout Lake Rd were arrested at 11:17 pm. Both men have been charged with break enter and theft, as well as possession of burglary tools and have been held in custody for bail hearings.

Trafficking
At 4:20 pm on the 21st Apr the Street Crime Unit observed what was believed to be a drug transaction near Main St and Ferguson St. The purchaser was identified as Phil Harris 21yrs of Algonquin Ave. he was arrested a short distance away and charged with possession of a controlled drug (marijuana) and breach of probation. The seller resisted when he was arrested and a female that was with him tried to free him by punching and kicking the officer. When other people stopped to assist the officer, she yelled at them to stay out of it or she would kill them. Other officers attended and both persons were taken into custody. Wayne Dawson 29yrs of Oak St E has been charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of proceeds of crime. Brittany Hindmarsh 21yrs of Oak St E has been charged with assault police, obstruct police and threatening death. Both persons are to appear in court on the 28th May 2013.

Fail to Remain
At 8:40 pm on the 19th Apr an older model grey truck in poor condition was southbound on Lakeshore Dr when one of the rear tires flew off and went into the Toyota parking lot striking and damaging two new vehicles. The truck skidded to a stop near Milford Cr. A short time later a gold PT Cruiser arrived and a man assisted the truck driver in putting the wheel back on the truck and then both men left in their vehicles northbound on Lakeshore Dr. Anyone that has any information about this incident is asked to contact Cst Geoff Whittle at 705-497-5555.

Break Enter and Theft
On Sat 13th Apr at 5:30 pm a grey GMC crew cab style pickup entered a roofing company compound on Ferris Dr. Two males exited the vehicle and removed numerous items including a generator, and an Ecko gas blower. The truck is also described as having an extended black roof rack and a large dent on the passenger side doors. Anyone that has any information about this vehicle is asked to contact Cst Elizabeth Bell at 705-497-5555.

Break Enter and Theft
Between 7:15 pm on the 19th Apr and 1:30 am on the 20th Apr an Apartment on Duke St E was entered via the bedroom window. A Playstation 3, Playstation portable, and 2 packages of cigarettes were stolen. Cst Sarah Kavanagh is investigating.
