ROBBERY On April 18 shortly after 8:30 PM a 16-year-old male was walking home and was taking a short cut behind the industrial complex in the 600 block of McKeown Av. He was in the process of going over a fence when he was grabbed by two males.

On April 18 shortly after 8:30 PM a 16-year-old male was walking home and was taking a short cut behind the industrial complex in the 600 block of McKeown Av.

He was in the process of going over a fence when he was grabbed by two males.

He was then thrown to the ground and punched and kicked in the face area. They then stole over $200 that the victim had in his wallet along with a watch that is described as having a blue face and a silver band.

The only description available is that both suspects were male and approximately 16 to 17-years-old.

QUICK WORK
On April 18 at approximately 2 PM a man broke into a residence on Mountainview Drive and stole a TV set. This set was then sold for cash.

On the same day shortly after 5 PM Cst. Mike Hunter and Gerry Martin of the North Bay Police Service arrested a male in relation to this crime.

Patrick Kelly Roy, 34, of 4th Av. W. is charged with Break and Enter and Theft Under $5000. He is to attend court June 1.

ASSAULT WITH PIECE OF WOOD
On April 18 shortly after 11 AM a man attended a residence of a female known to him. He barged in unannounced and began striking the female with a piece of wood. She fell to the floor and he continued striking her about the body. A male within the home attempted to intercede and was also struck several times before he managed to knock the piece of wood away.

The accused fled the scene and was later arrested at his residence by Cst. Vicky Thisdelle of the North Bay Police Service.

Both victims received medical attention for abrasions, bruising, and contusions. The female also suffered a concussion as well.

Thomas Hammond, 41, of First Avenue W, is charged with two counts of Assault With a Weapon and one count of Threatening. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTERS
Overnight April 15 at the St. Joseph’s Motherhouse on Main Street W, thieves broke into a garage and stole a Toro snow blower, a five-HP air compressor (Campbell Hausfield) an impact air gun, a Stihl grass trimmer and an Echo trimmer.

On April 17 shortly after 7 AM thieves entered a residence in the 200 block of Feronia Road and stole a set of booster cables, meat from the freezer, a drill, an angle grinder, a socket set and a box of various wrenches.

A station wagon of unknown colour was seen in the driveway about this time.
