RIDE STATS During this past Easter Weekend, officers of the North Bay Police Service conducted RIDE stops within North Bay. They stopped over 100 vehicles and none of the drivers had consumed any alcohol.

ASSIST FROM OPP

On the 31st of March of this year Cst. Mark McLeod of the North Bay Police Service commenced an investigation into allegations of a woman being continually harassed as well as an incident in Aug of 2009 where this same woman was held against her will and threatened.
The officer sought an arrest warrant for a male suspect and on the 1st of April the Ontario Provincial Police arrested a suspect in the Mattawa area and transported him to North Bay Police Headquarters.
Ronald GUILBEAULT 42 years old of Highway 630 in Mattawa is charged with Forcible Confinement, Threatening and Criminal Harassment. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

DISPUTE WITH KNIFE

On the 2nd of April it is alleged that while at a North Bay home with a small gathering present, a woman assaulted another woman and allegedly held a knife to the victim’s throat.
This matter was reported to Csts. Jeff Warner and Ross Lingley of the North Bay Police who attended a North Bay residence and arrested a female suspect.
Joanne POITRAS 54 years old of Fourth Av. E. is charged with Assault With a Weapon and Threatening. She was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

ARSON

On the 2nd of April at approximately 1:30 PM a fire was set on a trail near the 1200 block of Glenwood Av. in North Bay. The fire spread to a temporary garage causing a minimal amount of damage. The North Bay Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire.
At the time, a white male youth approximately 12 years old with dirty blond hair was seen nearby. At that time he was wearing a blue shirt with white numbers.

STOLEN VEHICLE

Overnight on the 1st of April thieves stole a 1991 Plymouth Sundance 4 door beige vehicle was stolen from the 100 block of Third Av. W.
