Arson Charge
The arson investigation at Chippewa Secondary has resulted in a 15 year old girl being charged with arson. She is to appear in youth court in November. Cst Chris Johnson investigated.

Officer Injured
At 4:00 p.m. on the 10th Oct a North Bay officer was in the process of arresting a man on the 700 block of Algonquin Ave for warrants originating in Barrie and Huntsville. He assaulted the officer then fled eastward through back yards. A foot pursuit with other officers ended in the 700 block of Galt St where he again resisted arrest but was taken into custody. The first officer was taken to hospital, treated and released. David Sullivan 28 years of Delaware Ave has been charged with assault police and resist arrest. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing. Csts Aaron Northrup and Christian Elia are investigating.

Domestic Violence Stats
The North Bay Police responded to 98 domestic related occurrences in September. Twenty males and 6 females were charged with a total of 47 offences. The offences included; 13 for assault, 4 assault with a weapon, 2 criminal harassment, 1 forcible confinement, 4 uttering threats, 2 choking, 1 break and enter, 1 theft, 1 dangerous driving, 3 mischiefs and 15 breaches of various court orders.
