Threatening On the 3rd Oct a domestic situation resulted in a 26 year old man being arrested and charged with 2 counts of threatening death, criminal harassment, and 2 counts of breach of undertaking. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Identity Fraud
On 3rd Oct a 37 year old North Bay man phoned a local pharmacy and identified himself as his father who had recently passed away. He requested a refill of a prescription for 300 Percocet and asked that his son be allowed to pick it up. A check by the pharmacy indicated that the recipient had passed and the police were called. The son was arrested when he attempted to pick up the prescription. A search of his person located small quantities of marijuana and morphine. He has been charged with identity fraud, 2 counts of possession of controlled drugs, breach of probation and he has been held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Christian Elia is investigating.

Thefts
A man and a woman are in custody after a shoplifting spree at several stores at Northgate Square. The couple were confronted at 3:45 p.m. by security at which time the man fled and the woman was arrested. The male was located and arrested by police on Laurier St after he had smashed a fence trying to escape. Jackie Noah, 26years, of King St has been charged with 4 counts of theft under $5000. Curtis Linklater, 26 years, of Manitou St has been charged with 4 counts of theft under $5000, mischief, and 2 counts of breach of probation. Both persons have been held in custody for bail hearings.
