STILL SEEKING ASSISTANCE

Investigators with the North Bay Police Service are still seeking assistance from the public in relation to the house fire that took place on the 8th of May on Legion Rd.

Det. Cst. Helen Kent of our Service would like to speak to a motorist that kindly stopped to assist the residents get out of their burning home.

This man was driving a pick up truck at the time. Any information from this person would be greatly appreciated.

SEVERE ASSAULT

On the 24th of May at approximately 6:30 AM Cst. Stacy Jackson of the North Bay Police Service received a 911 call in regards to an assault in progress within a North Bay residence.

The officer arrived and forced his way into the room where it is alleged that a man was still beating a woman.

He was arrested and brought to the station.

This female was brought to Hospital by ambulance and suffered severe injuries, including a slashed throat, lacerations to arms & face too numerous to list at the time of the alleged incident. She remains in the Critical Care Unit of the hospital.

Erol ARTAN 36 years old of Worthington St. E. is charged with Aggravated Assault and remains in custody.
