The North Bay Police Service is proud to be associated with a civic minded community partner such as the Canadian Automobile Association.
Tonight (Friday the 12th of March) we will be holding a RIDE event along with volunteers from the Canadian Automobile Association from 9 PM into the early morning hours.
We will commence at 9 PM from here at our Headquarters.
The Canadian Automobile Association is sponsoring this event in order to help keep our communities safe.
We invite the media to this evening and Cst. Robin Boucher of our Service will be in attendance and will facilitate any photo or interview opportunity.

FORCIBLE CONFINMENT FOR DRUGS

On the 12th of March at approximately 2 AM it is alleged that a male attended another male’s residence and held him in confinement while holding a knife.
It is further alleged that this same male was demanding that the victim provide him with cocaine.
Eventually the victim managed to escape and contacted the North Bay Police Service.
Csts. Scott Buchanan and Ashley St. John of our Service attended another residence within the city and arrested a suspect in relation to this incident.
Robin SHEKANAPISH 27 years old of Worthington St. E. is charged with Forcible confinement and Extortion. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.
