WOMAN DEFRAUDS CHARITY


On the 28th of June Det. Cst. Greg McClenaghan of the North Bay Police Service arrested a female adult in relation to allegations of fraud.

Volunteer committee members of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation contacted Police once they became aware of irregularities.

These allegations are alleged to have occurred between Aug. 2005 up to Feb. 2006.

The loss is estimated at over $10,000.

Susan Lee SCHOWSTRA 44 years old of Sixth St. in Mattawa is charged with Theft Over $5000., Uttering Forged Document and False Pretences. She is scheduled to appear in court on the 22nd of Aug.
